Pressed-Flower Art Impressions

The 36th Unicoi Fireside Craft/Art Show show hosted about 60 artists over the weekend. One of the privileged artists was Acorn Hill's own Sarah Daffodil.

Many show attendees had not seen Daffodil's medium of pressed plant material. They were impressed by how this material could be manipulated. Daffodil answered many questions. Two of the most frequently asked questions were how old she is and how she got started doing such a unique type of art.

Standing close by was Main House President Dad. He helped with the sales and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Thank You Citizens

Main House First Lady Mom was down for the count - for about five days total. This didn't stop the citizens of Acorn Hill from doing the things expected of them. Mom says, "thank you!"

"It was comforting to know that life was going on as normal when I was in bed," said Mom. All citizens worked together to allow Mom to be sick and to rest.

Mom says that she once again enjoys the sun, food, reading and coffee.
