Necklace for Fern

Miss Charle', almost an Acorn Hill Citizen herself, surprised Autumn Fern with an unexpected gift.

After an afternoon of swimming, Autumn Fern and other citizens met up with Miss Charle'. Fern said, "I like your necklace." Miss Charle' took it off and put it onto Fern. What could be better than a necklace with a leaf on it for Autumn?

The necklace rests up high for now. It is very special. It is from someone very special.

Laundry Quandary

Folding laundry is a daily task at Acorn Hill. If a day is missed the clean laundry mound grows and grows.

Recently all Acorn Hill residents left the town. Two loads of laundry were put in the washer upon departure. Two loads were added shortly after arrival. "This really couldn't have been avoided," Main House First Lady Mom said.
Life and laundry must go on.

Them that honour me, I will honour

Some churches just say "honor." Acorn Hill Citizens had the privilege of attending one of these churches.

Friends of Acorn Hill, the Wieses, celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary yesterday by renewing their vows in the chapel at Sky Valley, Georgia. Honor is what they did to each other. Mark and Lila Wiese wrote their own vows heard for the first time in front of the small congregation. "The ceremony was so pure," said Sarah Daffodil. Nathaniel Barn Loft played "Forever and Ever Amen" on his dulcimer at the close.

Mayor Asher Ply Wood, Autumn Fern and Pastor Eli Hemlock enjoyed the steps outside of the chapel as well as the seating inside.

Barn Loft's Baseball Team Wins District Championship

Champions of Georgia's District 7, Habersham County's 9-10 American League All Stars will travel to Columbus, GA to compete in the state tournament in mid-July. Acorn Hill's own Nathaniel Barn Loft earned a place on the All Star squad through his play through the regular season on first base and the pitcher's mound and at the plate. He played mostly in center field during the district All Star tournament, but also played in right field and pitched a bit.
