No one is perfect - not even Autumn Fern. It was a warm spring day when Main House First Lady Mom saw Pastor Eli Hemlock's hat on the ground. She asked Fern to simply pick it up for her. Everything was going well as Fern quickly responded to Mom's plea. Then, all of a sudden, from nowhere, a fly landed on the little blue hat. Fern found this terribly upsetting. She stood in her tracks stunned. Mom told her to not worry and to get the hat. Upon several attempts, Fern could move her legs to a certain point, not any closer. She turned around in tears, finally giving up. Fortunately, Main House President Dad called at just the right moment to prompt Fern to get the pastor's hat. Alas, Fern needed more than gentle prodding from Dad. She needs to overcome her fear - like many of us.

- Acorn Hill is a happy little place in North Georgia, where citizens encourage one another daily and put a premium on productivity. Citizens include Main House President Dad, Main House First Lady Mom, Sarah Daffodil (artist), Nathaniel Barn Loft (musician), Mayor Asher Ply Wood (spark plug), Autumn Fern (princess) and Pastor Eli Hemlock (teacher). Queen Esther Hunts, Melody Fishes and Kenneth Hikes (four legged) also reside in Acorn Hill. A critical guiding passage for Main House President Dad and First Lady Mom is Deuteronomy 6:6,7 - And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
