Over the last couple of weeks Sarah Daffodil has done a lot of knot tying, dyeing and corn husk bending. She is teaching an 8-week -course on corn husk doll making. Today was Week 2.
The first week she talked about corn husk dolls and their history. Everyone in class made a corn husk broom. Today Daffodil demonstrated how to make a doll. Her 12 students followed her instructions and made corn husk doll heads. "Next week I hope we'll all finish a doll," said Daffodil. Week 4 they'll be dyeing. Week 5 will be a demonstration on accessories. "Then the next three weeks will just be a time of fun, perfecting and experimenting," said Daffodil.
Today's class went very well and I have excellent students!
