Fabulous 14!

Fourteen daffodils were among the festive decorations that popped out at Sarah Daffodil for her fabulous fourteenth birthday party. It was quite a surprise.
Citizens celebrated her birthday on the 6th since some would be on a trip today- her birthday. She had just gotten home, a little tired, at the end of teaching her class. Once she opened the Main House door her eyes filled with green and yellow streamers hanging from the ceiling, matching balloons dancing on the floor and gifts wrapped in flowery paper. Everyone had a flower shaped brownie at their seat with a candle. Citizens took turns making wishes for Daffodil then blew out their candle. "I'm so glad that Sarah came to Acorn Hill. I remember the day well- she was purple," said Main House First Lady Mom.
Among her gifts were plain T-shirts for decorating, wooden knitting needles and double-sided sticky tape.
With all of the festivities behind her, Mom made today special having suggested that Daffodil sleep in. Daffodil did indeed.
