Teaching Teachers

Let the lessons begin! Acorn Hill Citizen Nathaniel Barn Loft has had the privilege of teaching a friend, and dulcimer instructor, different techniques on the dulcimer. Miss Gwen has had a private lesson at the Main House and another at the church where the Nacoochee Strummers meet.

A member of the Nacoochee Strummers, Miss Lynn, who was most instrumental in teaching Barn Loft, has an appointment to learn Barn Loft's version of Black Mountain Rag.

That same evening he will meet a retired man and his wife who are new to the area and who would like to learn more about dulcimer playing opportunities.

"I think it's neat," said Sarah Daffodil, "It seems like a natural beginning for him to teach."

When lessons are conducted from the Main House, citizens enjoy partaking in the refreshments.
