Easter Eggs and God

Why do you celebrate Easter? For some there is the concern that Easter eggs and bunnies will overshadow the true meaning of Easter. At Acorn Hill we celebrate the true meanings of holidays.

Main House First Lady Mom gave Mayor Asher Ply Wood this short quiz. "What is Easter?" she asked. Ply Wood said that it is when Jesus got off of the cross. Mom was glad for that answer as they prepared for the sunrise service.

After church, breakfast and and a visit to the graveyard, it was time to hunt the Easter eggs that Nathaniel Barn Loft had stuffed with the remaining candy that Mom hadn't eaten. Ply Wood, Autumn Fern and Pastor Eli Hemlock gathered their treasures at warp speed.

When Ply Wood came inside to survey his bounty he asked, "Has God given us more promises than I have Easter eggs?" "Way more!" said Main House President Dad. Mom was again made glad.
